Mercy Hospice For Women and Children

Address
334 S. 13th St
Philadelphia, PA - 19107

HOURS
7 days a week, 24 hours a day

Residential Support for Women
A 48 bed residence for single women and mothers with young children who are in recovery. In addition to shelter, residents receive three meals a day, and have access to secure mail service. With the goal of continued recovery and transition to more independent living situations, the women meet weekly with skilled case managers to identify and address the root causes of their homelessness. Residents are referred to appropriate off-site treatment programs and support groups, while receiving on-site life skills classes, parenting support and they attend drug and alcohol classes.

Day Services for Women
A nutritious and hot noon meal is provided, on average, for 50 to 70 day clients each weekday. Day clients are not residents. They are the homeless community currently residing on the street. These women are also offered case management services, as well as the opportunity to use a restroom, take a shower, obtain new clothing, and use the telephone.
